365 project

So I decided to do a photo every day project, also known as photo 365, or photo a day for a year. I have wanted to do this type of project for a few years, but I never felt motivated or that it was the right time. However, as of January first this year I decided to try it.

This is day one of my 365 day photo project. I have seen quite a few gas station images on instagram and thought I’d try taking one for my first photo. Also it was simple to take since I started so late in the day.

This first picture I edited using an app called Darkr, the app is unique in that it’s just like using a vintage camera. I really like the detail and smoothness in the black and white image I edited in the app.

Taking pictures with the app is weird and hard to get use to.

I love black and white images like this with nice light, and amazing detail.

I didn’t edit this in the Darkr app, I used Lightroom for this. But still came out really nice!
So I walked out of the apple store today with my iPhone 11 pro max, and I only got across the street before I couldn’t resist the temptation to just stop and play with the camera. This is my first picture on the new #iphonepromax #shotoniphone11promax I have no filter on this picture, just very light editing to shadowing and highlighting. #nofilter #apple #iphone #dallas #dfw #sky #clouds #color #firstpicture

So I am a perfectionist, and I love photography! For many years I have posted my pictures on Instagram.com/colide81, but I like the idea of moving beyond Instagram. Hopefully, this will fulfill the needs of being a home for my photography for years to come! So here’s my first photo to post….

I love black and white, it brings out details I just don’t see in color. It makes you feel things that a color image doesn’t bring out. I took this photo in Arlington, Texas and edited it using Lightroom.
